Hello, my name is Rebecca (she/her), and I am a psychotherapy intern who is dedicated to providing all clients with a safe, non-judgemental therapeutic space, while working as a team with my clients. My goal is to provide clients with guidance, support, and coping skills to produce positive change in their everyday lives. As a psychotherapy intern, I strive to help my clients recognize and utilize their own strengths, and to help them achieve their full potential.
I am primarily interested in a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy approach, which combines the ideas of Cognitive Therapy while utilizing meditative techniques to bring awareness to the present moment and to learn techniques to relax both the mind and the body. I also value Emotion Focused, Strengths-Based as well as Person-Centered approaches to counselling. Regardless of the methodologies I hold value in, I ultimately believe in supporting the needs of individual clients and creating a treatment plan suited to you.
I am currently offering individual, couple and family therapy sessions in-person, online, and by phone.
