Why I Do This Work?
You’re getting through the day, getting everything done and probably look like you’re handling it all. But underneath, you’re exhausted. Maybe you’re the person everyone relies on… the helper, the caretaker, the one who keeps showing up even when you have very little left to give. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, resentful or unsure of who you are outside of the roles you’ve been carrying. I understand this experience personally. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in the education system and experienced firsthand the toll that chronic stress, feeling unsupported and putting your own needs last can take.
My Approach
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervision, I offer a space where you don’t have to be the strong one. My relational approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, somatic approaches, and parts work to help you understand what’s beneath the stress and reconnect with yourself.
You don’t have to wait until you’re completely burned out to ask for support. Together, we can explore your boundaries, relationships, emotions and the weight you’ve been carrying, while creating space to reconnect with yourself.
Together, we will:
- Identify and understand the “parts” of you that carry the stress, guilt and pressure to perform.
- Explore how a broken system has impacted your body, nervous system and sense of self.
- Build emotional stability and somatic regulation to help you feel grounded again.
- Rebuild your boundaries and cultivate a deep, protective self-compassion.
I am here to meet your story with real presence and trustworthy care, creating a supportive space where your nervous system can settle and we can safely explore what you have been carrying.
If you’re ready to feel less alone and more grounded, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary consultation.
