(He/Him/His)
You’re having feelings that you’re not sure what to do with and they might be feeling endless and impossible to navigate on your own. You might have a lot of “why” and “what if” questions about these emotions and the issues that cause them. It can be difficult to find support from your friends and family about these difficult things and you’re feeling alone in the amount of support you’re able to give to yourself. You want to feel better, more comfortable, and to understand yourself and that’s why you’ve taken the step to find a therapist.
I use an approach called Gestalt therapy which has roots in mindfulness, focussing on feelings in the present moment – when and how they emerge – and what happens when they do. My aim is to create a safe space for you to talk about these emotions without judgement and then explore them together through experiential and creative exercises in awareness.
My approach to therapy is about simplification; to listen, ask questions, and work collaboratively with you to understand the confusing and overwhelming aspects in your life that led you to this moment. Working with you, I will draw on both my training and life experience to support you on your journey to discover your place, your self, and who you are.
