With more than 10 years experience as a social worker, I have had the privilege and opportunity to support individuals and families adjust to, and/or overcome life’s challenges.
I approach my counselling work with a focus on developing a trusting and supportive relationship allowing me to understand you, your needs, your goals and the best way for us to work together to help you achieve them. Whether it’s adjusting to a life change or managing an illness (physical and/or mental health related) my goal is to provide support, encouragement, and understanding in the context of a strong, supportive relationship where you will feel heard and understood.
I have extensive training and expertise in the provision of psychotherapy for individuals experiencing a range of challenges including but not limited to: trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), disability issues, adjustment challenges (new baby, health diagnosis, sexuality or employment related etc.), relationship issues, substance use challenges, end-of-life, grief and bereavement.
I welcome you to contact me to schedule a free consultation where we can discuss my approach and answer any questions you may have.
