(She/Her) I am a trauma-informed registered social worker and psychotherapist in Ontario, offering one-on-one virtual therapy sessions for adults. I primarily work with racialized individuals, including newcomers, refugee claimants, and migrants with uncertain immigration status. My focus areas include migration, identity, family systems, and relational conflict. I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, and social anxiety. I aim to collaboratively create a space that can feel safe to begin working towards therapeutic goals through exploration, reflection, and awareness. My role is to support and offer insight with the belief that individuals have the strength and capacity to guide themselves through their own journey.
I provide psychotherapy services for refugee claimants as an approved Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) Health Care Provider. I am passionate about working with racialized communities and providing culturally informed services. I can provide services in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
I believe in an integrative approach to psychotherapy which means that I use knowledge from various theoretical sources to inform my practice. However, I work primarily with humanistic approaches, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
I offer a free 15-minute video consultation for you to be able to ask questions and to determine if my practice will meet your current needs and aims for therapy. You can email me at rudaina.therapy@gmail.com to book your consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.
