Social Worker

(She/Her) I am a trauma-informed registered social worker/psychotherapist in Ontario, and I offer individual one-on-one psychotherapy, over video or phone, with adults. I work primarily with racialized individuals, and focus on trauma, migration, identity, childhood adverse experiences and their intersections. In addition, I provide support with navigating through day-to-day personal, relationship, work, school, and other systemic challenges. I aim to collaboratively create a space that can feel safe to begin working towards therapeutic goals through exploration, reflection, and awareness. My role is to support and offer insight with the belief that individuals have the strength and capacity to guide themselves through their own journey.

I have experience working with newcomers, refugee claimants, and migrants without immigration status/precarious immigration status. I provide psychotherapy services for refugee claimants as an approved Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) Health Care Provider. I am passionate about working with racialized communities and providing culturally informed services. I can provide services in English, Urdu, and Hindi.

I believe in an integrative approach to psychotherapy which means that I use knowledge from various theoretical sources to inform my practice. However, I work primarily with humanistic approaches and narrative therapy.

I offer a free 15-minute video consultation for you to be able to ask questions and to determine if my practice will meet your current needs and aims for therapy. You can email me at to book your consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.

* I can directly bill for Medavie Blue Cross members as an Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) Health Care Provider.

* For those who have other private supplemental insurance, you may be reimbursed by your insurance provider so please check with them. I will provide you with invoices and receipts for submission to your insurance provider.
