I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Toronto Scarborough in 2017 and am currently completing a Master of Education in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Growing up and working in multicultural cities the Middle East and Canada, I worked with individuals from a variety of walks of life. I have volunteered in several organization that supported various populations including Toronto Distress Centres and YMCA’s Newcomer Information Centre. I have also worked for three years as Lab Manager and Study Coordinator at the HIV Prevention Lab focusing on sexual health of gay and bisexual men and other men who have sex with men.
I personalize therapy for each client because every individual or couple have their unique situation. I combine deep care and empathy while drawing from different clinical orientations that include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I have supported individuals with concerns that include anxiety, body image, depression, gender and sexuality identity, and relationships. I find that at the core of therapy is the ability to listen, provide a safe space for clients to share their stories, in addition to plan and move toward a path of healing. My passion is to empower folx to achieve their goals and find their journeys of self-growth.
