Sometimes life doesn’t fall apart—it just quietly becomes heavier. You might be getting through your days, showing up for others, doing what’s expected of you, yet inside feel exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of when things started to feel this hard. If you’ve ever thought, “I should be coping better than this,” you’re not alone—and nothing is wrong with you.
Hi, I’m Sara Ahmadzadeh, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally worn down, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel like them. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, take off the armour, and begin listening to the parts of you that have been trying to hold everything together.
Many of us learned early on to be strong, to keep going, or to put our needs last. While these strategies may have helped you survive, they can also leave you feeling unseen—even by yourself. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken.” It’s about gently understanding your experiences, reconnecting with yourself, and creating space for relief, self-trust, and change. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where your experiences are honoured and explored at your pace.
I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, and the impact of past or ongoing experiences. My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative, drawing from ACT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices. Together, we work in a way that feels attuned to you—your needs, values, and goals.
I offer therapy in English and Farsi (Persian) and welcome clients from all backgrounds, including those navigating cultural transitions, identity exploration, or intergenerational dynamics. Your lived experience matters here—fully and without having to explain or justify it.
I also know that reaching out for support can bring up practical and financial stress. Navigating insurance and billing can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re already carrying a lot. To help ease this, I offer direct billing to insurance providers whenever possible, so accessing therapy feels more manageable and less burdensome.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, uncertain, or even intimidating. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan—you just need a place to begin. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect and see if this feels like the right fit.
When you’re ready, I’m here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you—one step at a time.
