Sarah Jane believes in a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy. She fosters a warm, non-judgemental environment as a foundation for therapy. Her client-centered approach allows for creative exploration of your goals and values.  Sarah Jane’s two decades of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness informs her deeply compassionate and integrative approach to therapy. Likewise, her wealth of experience fosters deep empathy and the capacity to connect with clients wherever they are.

Drawing on techniques from client-centered therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Sarah Jane uses an eclectic approach to counselling that is oriented around respecting your needs and goals for therapy. Having experienced the power of a transformational therapeutic relationship in her own life, she understands the importance of respect and trust between client and therapist.

Sarah Jane is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Currently, Sarah Jane is a psychotherapy intern who has completed the required coursework for her Masters of Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University. In addition, Sarah Jane has extensive yoga teacher training, a Bachelor of Education from University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University. Sarah Jane is particularly interested in working with individuals experiencing grief, life transitions, parental challenges, body image issues or emotional dysregulation.
