About…

Do you want more satisfaction and meaning from your career, but feel lost or paralyzed by fear when you think about making a change? Maybe you’ve already changed jobs, but notice similar challenges arising even in a new environment.

If you relate to this, please know you are not alone. Subconscious or hidden patterns of thought, feeling, and memory developed in early life can continue to impact our current life experiences without our awareness. These patterns were often created to keep us safe at one point, but are just no longer helpful (or sometimes harmful) in our current life.

If you are feeling lost about where your career is headed, struggle with challenging work relationships, are experiencing signs of burnout or compassion fatigue, or just have this sense of wanting to feel more in control of your career, I can help you transform the limiting patterns keeping you stuck so that you feel empowered as you move forward.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervisor, with 14 years of experience as a Career Coach, and training as a Breathwork Facilitator, I have learned that our mental and emotional wellbeing is intimately connected to our career satisfaction and ability to thrive in both work and life.

Career-related challenges that I help with include:

  • The Sunday Blues (that feeling of dread that takes over your Sunday as you try not to think about Monday morning).
  • Anxiety (feelings of overwhelm and insecurity that may arise throughout the day or during specific work tasks).
  • Stress (a build up of physical, emotional, and mental tension without equivalent or adequate release).
  • Burnout (exhaustion, trouble sleeping, feeling irritable, or withdrawing from work and life are just some signs that you can’t keep working this way).
  • Compassion Fatigue (increased cynicism and resentment, trouble concentrating, headaches, working on autopilot and decreased empathy).
  • Relationship Struggles (with a specific co-worker, your supervisor/manager, or maybe the work environment itself).
  • Imposter syndrome (inner critic telling you all the ways you are not good enough, competent enough, skilled enough to be doing what you are doing).
  • Perfectionism (procrastination on important tasks, all-or-nothing thinking, harsh self-criticism).
  • Work-Life Balance (lack of boundaries, hard to stop thinking about work, sacrificing other areas of life, feeling disconnected from personal relationships).
  • Identity (who am I without my work; who am I as my work changes?).
  • Career Transitions (chosen or not, transitions shake the ground beneath us, making us feel vulnerable and uncertain)

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that our minds and bodies are connected. My own career struggles drew me to this work, which allows me to bring a deep sense of compassion and empathy into every session. I draw from integrative and evidence-based practices, such as:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy
  • Guided Breathwork
