We all carry our own inner strength, wisdom, & resilience, but our authentic self can get obscured by life experiences. My role as your therapist at this point in your healing or self development journey would be to support & guide you in whatever ways seem most helpful for you. Half a century of living & learning as well as education gives me a varied toolbox to draw from, & comfort with all types of diversity; I also have a strong interest in Indigenous culture and issues. Trauma, anxiety, anger issues, grief & loss (incl. pets), depression, caregiver stress, interpersonal and narcissistic abuse and also posttraumatic and personal growth are just some challenges I could help you with. I believe the whole of your life (including mental, emotional, physical, social, & spiritual if desired-however that is expressed) is important when addressing issues of concern to you. We might do this with talk, mindfulness, guided imagery, experiential modalities, expressive movement, somatic exploration, Inner Child & Inner Critic work &/or applying cognitive behavioural strategies. I know the power of somatic/body-centred & experiential & expressive therapy approaches as well as talk. I can meet in person/virtual most weekdays & Saturdays (& early evenings).
