About…

In a society that demands our numbness and fuels constant urgency, slowing down and giving ourselves permission to tend to our needs is a brave act of resistance. Pursuing therapy can feel similar to embarking on a pilgrimage, a journey into the unknown in search of healing, meaning, or answers. While we may begin with the hope of seeking relief, we often discover something deeper: an invitation to meet ourselves and the world with greater clarity, compassion, and trust.

I work with individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns, including major life transitions, identity exploration, managing stress or burnout, coping with grief/loss, attachment/childhood wounds, low self-esteem, shame, people pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, feelings of isolation or loneliness, and navigating existential questions around meaning or purpose.

Our therapeutic relationship will create an essential foundation for our work together. I view successful therapy not as a guaranteed end to pain, but as expanded tolerance and openness to the full spectrum of human emotions. For this reason, I take a flexible, non-prescriptive approach that honours each person’s complexity and unique story. I may draw from relational, trauma-informed, psychodynamic, narrative, attachment-focused, and humanistic theories to guide our work, but I do not offer quick fixes or solutions that undermine autonomy. Instead, our work will be co-created, beginning with a curious exploration of your inner world. You may be invited to befriend your inner conflicts, explore your story with tenderness, and grow your capacity to connect. As evolving insights emerge, we will use them to organically guide the course of therapy and support meaningful change.

Social position/lived experience: My work is deeply shaped by my lived experiences as a queer, Iranian (cis)woman and three-time migrant. I’m especially dedicated to supporting folks who are navigating intersectional experiences, intergenerational trauma, and non-conforming/unconventional ways of living. In our time together, we will unpack all the ways in which marginalization may have become internalized or reinforced throughout your life.

It is my greatest honour to walk this path alongside you, as both witness and fellow traveller.

I hold a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto and I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My professional background includes working as a crisis responder for the national suicide crisis helpline, along with extensive experience in medical, health, and community-based support roles. As part of my ongoing commitment to reflective practice, I regularly engage in my own personal therapy.
