Hi, I’m Sayena (she/her). I’m glad you’re here. These past years have been especially challenging and I’m here to support you in carving a new path forward in a welcoming and safe space. I aim to be an authentic and grounding presence, creating a non-judgmental place for you to explore your vulnerabilities, experiences, and emotions. I’ll work collaboratively with you, honouring your strength and resiliency and celebrating your growth along the way! We will strive toward creating greater balance in your life and increasing your capacity for self-compassion and self-care.
My approach to therapy is anti-oppressive, feminist, and trauma-informed. I draw on mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from a client-centred approach –honouring you as your own individual with unique values, needs, and goals. I also hope to continue to learn about and integrate attachment based therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and narrative therapy.
I am passionate about working with women, newcomers, refugees, and international students –empowering them to discover their worth and all that they are capable of. Some themes that I support clients in include anxiety, self-compassion, self-worth, perfectionism, burnout, and phobias.
I’m here to support you through whatever it is you’re facing and feel honoured by the prospect of being a part of your well-being journey. Wondering what’s next? You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.tendpsychotherapy.com to fill out our contact form to schedule a get to know you call. Looking forward to hearing from you.
