Hi, I’m Sean! I’m a queer therapist in my 30s, meeting with clients online from Toronto. I know that talking about struggles can be helpful, but real change happens when you actively connect with yourself on a deeper level—not just by understanding your experiences, but by engaging with them in a way that allows something inside you to shift. My approach supports you in moving beyond analysis into an experiential process of healing, where you take the lead in building a more compassionate and empowered relationship with yourself. This is about you guiding the change from within—not about a therapist analyzing you from the outside.
We all have different “parts” within us—one that pushes to do better, another that feels exhausted; one that longs for closeness, another that puts up walls. These aren’t contradictions. They’re patterns you’ve developed to protect yourself and navigate life. Therapy isn’t about forcing these parts to disappear—it’s about understanding them and helping them shift into roles that truly support you.
I primarily work from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective, alongside other evidence-based approaches, to help you better understand and work with the parts of yourself that might be holding pain, self-doubt, or stuck patterns. Maybe a part of you is self-critical, or another part copes with overwhelm by shutting down. Every part has a reason for being there, and in therapy, we explore how to bring more balance and ease to your inner world.
If you feel stuck—whether in anxiety, addiction, relationship challenges, or self-doubt—you don’t have to navigate it alone. Change is possible when you can meet yourself with curiosity and care. If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect for a consultation.
