(He/him)
I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree at Royal Military College of Canada. After my career in the military, I chose to serve as a teacher and completed my Bachelor of Education at the University of New Brunswick. I have taught both elementary and secondary students and have been teaching at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute for the past 14 years.
I am a registered member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and working towards my registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am also a member of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) where I have served as a volunteer in a number of positions.
Growing up in rural Newfoundland, serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, and working as a teacher have provided me with opportunities to work and interact with a wide range of people, and I would like to continue doing so as a counsellor. I hope to specialize in couples and family counselling with a goal of helping families in developing skills to cope with their challenges. I am most interested in using the therapeutic approaches of Internal Family Systems and Schema Therapy in helping clients to improve their wellbeing.
