Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stretched too thin from trying to keep everything together? Maybe you’re navigating grief, parenthood, a major life transition, low self-esteem, or the challenges of supporting a neurodivergent child. You spend so much time caring for everyone else that you may be wondering when there will be space for you. Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a Student Psychotherapist offering affordable therapy for adults and parents navigating anxiety, grief and loss, parenting stress, self-esteem, family challenges, and life transitions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from ACT, mindfulness, person-centred, strengths-based, humanistic, and solution-focused therapy. Together, we can slow things down, understand what’s weighing on you, and find realistic ways to help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself. Before becoming a therapist, I spent nine years supporting children and adults with learning disabilities, exceptionalities, and neurodivergence. This experience shapes my work with parents who may feel exhausted from advocating for their child while trying to manage everything else life asks of them.
As a cancer survivor, I also understand personally how cancer, illness, grief, and unexpected life changes can affect your identity, relationships, and the future you imagined. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re looking for affordable counselling with someone warm, relatable, and ready to meet you where you are, I’d love to connect.
