Welcome. I’m glad you’re here. If you’re having a difficult time, I understand the frustration of wanting change but feeling like you’re stuck in place. It’s painful to feel like you’re struggling on your own. You don’t have to be alone in this – I’m here to walk alongside you and offer the support you deserve on this journey.
My goal as a therapist is to cultivate a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space that fosters self-discovery, unlearning patterns, healing, courage, and growth. My role isn’t to “fix” you – instead, I help you gain personal insight as we uncover the roots of your concerns together and discover how to harness your unique strengths and wisdom toward meaningful, positive shifts in your life. My approach is empathetic, warm, and deeply attuned to the present moment, and above all, I am committed to meeting you where you are.
Navigating my own identities and growing up in a mixed-race household alongside years of experience in crisis response and trauma recovery programs have all informed my holistic lens and understanding of how culture in our home and our communities – our social and structural contexts (race, gender, class, sexuality, and more) – shape us as individuals. I am deeply committed to an approach that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and 2SLGBTQIIA+ affirming. My style of therapy is relational, alongside evidence-based modalities like Emotion Focused Therapy/EFT, Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Parts Work from Internal Family Systems/IFS, and somatic-based techniques. I can support a diverse range of populations and issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, relationships, life transitions, identity, gender, sexuality, culture, and grief and loss.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy slowing down in nature, rock climbing, reading, discovering cafes and libraries, meditation, live music, and cooking Korean cuisine, which captures a sense of home for me. I’m also passionate about community involvement in the areas of social justice and collective care.
I offer flexible scheduling options in-person (Vaughan and Markham offices) and virtually. If you would like to have a better sense of whether working together feels right for you, I invite you to book a free 15-25 minute phone consultation. I look forward to connecting with you.
