Welcome. If you’re seeking deeper understanding, trust, and harmony in your relationships, you are not alone. I provide compassionate and practical guidance to help turn conflict into moments of growth, deepen connection and understanding, rebuild trust with mutual respect, and reignite intimacy and joy in your relationship.
I immigrated to Canada at an early age and grew up in a mixed-race household. Navigating my cultural identities alongside years of experience in crisis response and trauma recovery informs the deep respect I hold for the stories that we carry, as well as my holistic lens and understanding of how culture in our home and our communities shape our narratives.
I offer a space centered around safety and collaboration, where meaningful change can take place. My approach is empathetic, warm, and above all, attuned to the present moment. I am committed to meeting you where you are.
I work with couples and individuals across diverse backgrounds. My specialities include relationship concerns (including communication, attachment, sex and intimacy, boundary setting, family dynamics, and conflict), life transitions, trauma, identity, culture, family of origin, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss. My lived and work experience inform my integrative approach, and I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies such as emotionally-focused therapy for couples, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), somatic- and trauma-informed psychotherapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I am deeply committed to a practice that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, decolonial, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and identity affirming.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy slowing down in nature, rock climbing, reading and writing, thrifting, documentary films, discovering cafes and libraries, meditation, live music, and cooking — especially Korean cuisine, which captures a sense of home for me.
I provide flexible in-person or virtual scheduling options and can accommodate a sliding scale rate if needed. If you’ve read my bio and feel like we might be a good fit to work together, I invite you to take the first step by reaching out for a free 15-20 minute phone consultation. I look forward to connecting with you and answering any questions you may have.
