Hello, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Shauna and I am currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), on my way to completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University. I have a love for helping those who struggle with self-esteem, body confidence, anxiety, direction in life or anything in between. I use a person-centered approach where I help you to better understand your feelings and emotions and get you on the right track to healing, self-awareness and a more positive outlook on life. Whatever the case may be, I promise to work with you with empathy, understanding and without judgment.
To provide a brief background, I have a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education from Nipissing University. After completing my degree, I went on to work in the sport’s department on cruise ships for two years, where I traveled the world and was surrounded by different languages and cultures. I truly believe it has shaped me into who I am today as I have a better understanding of the world around me. After advocating for mental health while on ships, I decided I wanted to be the change, and that’s why I am now in this profession.
