I strive to build a therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard, respected, empowered and validated.
My approach to therapy is rooted in person-centered theory. This means that I believe every person is fundamentally capable of creating positive change in their lives at any stage of their journey if they are given a supportive climate that nurtures their growth.
I hope to provide you with a space that recognizes all that you have endured, harnesses your unique strengths and champions you as you build the type of life that feels most personally meaningful.
I embrace the idea that pain is a natural part of being human rather than something that should be shamed and stigmatized. I therefore view the act of asking for help as one of the bravest, most productive and self-compassionate decisions you can make.
It is important to me that I adopt a feminist lens throughout all of my work. This ensures that I pay close attention not only to your internal world but also how it fits into the larger picture of your life. In other words, I like to consider how the problems we face are intertwined with the different social identities we hold and larger systemic power imbalances that act upon us.
Therapy will be a time for us to collaborate and find the approach that works best for you. I integrate several different methods and enjoy combining self-exploration with tangible goal implementation. I have the benefit of receiving supervision that allows me to continue to learn new techniques to improve our work together.
I hope to help you liberate your most authentic self, build psychological flexibility and reclaim a sense of agency in your life.
It would be my honour to reacquaint you with the best parts of yourself.
If you are ready to move toward a life that brings you fulfilment, I am here to help.
