I am a counselling intern offering low-cost therapy to adults across B.C. who are feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck repeating the same patterns. I am completing my Master of Counselling Psychology and practice under the supervision of a registered clinical counsellor.
For the past 10 years, I have worked on the frontline as a correctional officer across Canada. That background gives me a grounded understanding of chronic stress, trauma exposure, shift work, and what it means to function in “survival mode” while still trying to show up for family, relationships, and personal goals.
In session, I work from a person-centered, trauma-aware foundation and primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. Together, we might look at your thoughts, behaviours, and boundaries, set practical goals, and build skills to reduce anxiety and burnout.
I work with concerns such as anxiety, stress, and burnout, people-pleasing, self-criticism, first responder support, attachment styles, life stress, relationship difficulties, and identity/role changes. My approach is collaborative, straightforward, and supportive: I aim to create a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and make changes at a pace that feels doable.
