Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, or overcome with grief? Maybe you are consumed by a chronic sense of dissatisfaction; or feeling distraught after a life-changing trauma. Whatever the trouble is, you do not need to face it alone.
My practice is relational, trauma-informed and draws from a range of approaches including mindfulness principles, attachment theory and neurobiology. This means we will pay close attention to how your relationships, both past and present, function. We will be curious about what comes up in the present moment, unearth unconscious tendencies, and take note of the ways in which long-standing behavioural patterns and coping strategies may no longer be serving you.
While the therapeutic process can be hard, it can also be incredibly rewarding! As your therapist, I am warm, curious, non-judgemental, empathic and direct. My approach is collaborative and client-centred as I operate from the principle that you are the expert in your own life. I aim to meet you exactly where you are, tailoring all therapy sessions to meet your particular and evolving needs.
I work with clients on a range of issues including but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Grief & Bereavement, Trauma, Fertility Issues, Sexual and Gender Identity, Intimacy & Relationship issues, Shame, Loss of Purpose and Major Life Transitions. I operate from an anti-oppressive framework and my practice embraces all genders, sexual orientations and is queer, trans and non-binary inclusive; everyone is welcome.
In 2020, I graduated from the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy (TIRP). TIRP is a rigorous program that is recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. While my practice is completely independent, I maintain continual supervision and ongoing training. I have completed rigorous psychotherapy training in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy modality. I also have completed a master’s degree in education from the University of Toronto where I studied a range of adult learning theories and counselling frameworks.
