Most of us have a sense of the reasons for our difficulties. Yet, we still struggle to work through those issues, understand how they all fit together, and make lasting changes. My approach to therapy fundamentally involves helping clients to find insight about their difficulties through coming to a deeper understanding of themselves. One of the ingredients to this approach is self-compassion. With self-compassion comes the ability to see oneself clearly, freedom to become one’s true self, and relief from self-consciousness, depression, shame, fear, and anxiety.
As a Masters student engaged in a practicum under the supervision of Registered Psychologist, Brian Welling, I am growing in my ability to turn my knowledge of depth psychology into practice. This approach looks at the unconscious processes underlying how we see ourselves and the world, our relationship patterns, and the significant events in our lives.
If you book with me, you will see that I have a safe, relaxed, and natural conversational style, which I balance with my role as a professional, wherein I will use what I have learned from my years of studying psychology and counselling, to take your concerns seriously, and do my best for you.
