My approach to therapy is client-centered with a focus on meeting each client where they are as a unique individual with their own unique needs. I take a holistic view and am committed to maximizing clients’ potential to live a more purposeful, passionate, and connected life. I believe in the significance of approaching others with compassion and respect and fostering hope by creating strong therapeutic alliances to help clients face their challenges and attain the well-being they deserve.
I strongly believe that mental and physical health go hand in hand when it comes to long term wellness, and as a therapist and certified yoga teacher, I trust in the benefits that yoga and mindfulness practices can offer for personal healing and growth, stress reduction, enhanced mental health and functioning, and increased emotion regulation.
Having lived in Bahrain, Qatar, Montreal, and now Toronto, and having traveled extensively across Europe, Asia, and Africa, I have been exposed to and able to forge relationships with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. I have worked with clients presenting with a host of challenges including anxiety, depression, anger, suicidal ideation, grief, abusive relationships, and trauma using a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, and mindfulness-based approaches.
