About…

(She/Her)

Hey everyone!

I just want to take a minute to acknowledge you for taking this step toward your healing journey.

As someone who has been in therapy and on my own healing journey since I was around 12 years old, I totally understand that starting therapy can be a scary, intimidating, and overwhelming experience.

I really respect your bravery and dedication to your growth, healing, and to creating a fulfilling, balanced, and healthy life.

As your therapist, I am here to support you during this journey. The most important factor in whether therapy will be effective or not, lies is the therapeutic alliance; how well you connect with your therapist, and how safe and comfortable you feel sharing and opening up to them.

With that being said, I encourage you to reach out to multiple therapists for a consult, to see if and how you click with them, and if their approach resonates with you.

My practice is client-centred and eclectic in approach – I pull from different schools of thought to create a treatment plan that best suits you. My training is in spiritual psychotherapy, which is an alternative approach to psychotherapy – one that honours and fosters the mind-body-soul connection, and that is based in compassion, love, and validation.

Though my training is largely founded in spiritual psychotherapy, and includes alternative techniques, such as: meditations and guided imagery, inner child work, focusing, two-chair work, family systems, sub-personalities, etc., I also have training and experience in more traditional modalities, such as: CBT, mindfulness, sex therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (level 1), trauma, crisis intervention and prevention, interpersonal psychotherapy, etc.

I am a very compassionate and loving person, who is honest, non-judgemental, accepting, and sex-positive.

I promise to keep it real with you, and to not shoot smoke up your ass. I will support you, validate you, celebrate you, and hold space for you. And I will also hold you big, challenge you respectfully, encourage you to voice your wants and needs, even when it’s uncomfortable and difficult, and may even tell you things that are difficult to hear.

I am committed to inclusivity and to consistently doing the work necessary to better understand, recognize, and call out (systemic) racism, homo and transphobia, and discrimination of any kind. I am committed to listening, learning, supporting, and amplifying the voices of my BIPOC and LGBTQ2+ fam, so that we can create a safer and more equitable future for all humans.

I would love to connect and hear how I can support you during this journey.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit, and if I can support you in the way you’re looking to be supported.

I look forward to hearing from you!
