We often overestimate what we need to change and underestimate our ability to change. This keeps us stuck and unable to see the possibilities around us.
Therapy gives you a space to slow down, to examine your strengths and the sources of your dissatisfaction so that you can gain insight and experiment with new ways of thinking and acting. Based on my background as a healthcare provider, coach and mindfulness meditation teacher, my approach to therapy is warm, holistic, and evidence-informed. Together, we can find new perspectives, explore your choices and implement a plan to take action.
My work as a mindfulness-based therapist is informed by my personal practice in the Tibetan, Zen, and Theravadan Buddhist traditions. I also bring significant experience as a former Chiropractor and Certified Coach. You will find my approach to therapy is practical, insightful and active – integrating secular mindfulness, compassion, focusing, inquiry, reflection, and behavioural experimentation. I am familiar with diverse spiritual traditions and happy to support personal and spiritual development as a fellow traveller on the path.
I believe the key to successful therapy is a strong collaborative partnership between therapist and client. We will find what works best for your well-being as we explore and experiment with new possibilities. Through this individually tailored experimentation, we’ll work to discover new paths of action, greater freedom and more fulfillment.
