Hello, my name is Tessa (she/her) and I am so glad you are here. There is a lot of risk and vulnerablity in learning about yourself, and you don’t have to figure it out all on your own. Together, we can work to understand what your head is thinking, what your gut is saying, and then bring them more into alignment.
I use contemporary, relational Gestalt psychotherapy, which means I pay attention to the subtleties and feelings in your words and your movements to understand what makes you ‘you’. We will use conversation, curiosity, and body awareness to help you uncover and understand what it is you are really feeling. My practice is informed by over 10 years as an arts worker in the non-profit arts sector, as well as my own lived experience of chronic illness and disability (visible and invisible).
I work to build a genuine, empathetic, supportive relationship with my clients – there is no right or wrong way for you to show up. The space we create together will be a place to try something new, say the hard things, feel the emotions, and grow your personal awareness, while always embracing moments of tears and laughter.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation by phone to explore the possibility of working together. I have virtual availability on weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and see clients in person on Sundays at Yonge & St. Clair. Please note, as a student therapist, my services are not covered by insurance.
I look forward to connecting with you!
