Hi, I’m Tiffany.
I began my career working as a teacher in various school districts throughout BC. During this time I witnessed the need for additional support to prevent students from falling through the cracks. Whether kids are dealing with learning challenges, social anxiety, or challenges at home, many are navigating a system that doesn’t truly meet their needs. Considering the numerous challenges that are thrown at us today, this is how a lot of us feel, regardless of our age. I’m now using my counselling skills to continue and expand that work — with preteens and teens, as well as Gen Z and millennial adults. My experience as a teacher and comedy/theatre performer combines with my naturally playful and energetic self to help people manage what’s ahead. I can use humour when the mood calls for it, but I can also be practical in crafting tools and techniques that people can use in their daily lives. Many of my clients are looking for ways to strengthen their voices and develop a stronger sense of who they are. They tend to see themselves as outliers: the ones who count themselves out or who yearn for a different life but can’t quite navigate how to get it. Together, we will work on developing greater awareness and self-compassion while stoking our imaginations to think of new ways forward.
I have adopted an integrative counselling approach that is trauma-informed and rooted in empathy. Together we’ll explore the following forms of treatment:
Narrative Therapy
Emotion-Focused Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Internal Family Systems
Mindfulness-Based CBT
