***TAKING NEW CLIENTS!!***
My name is Trish Wolton and I am a graduate of Kelowna College of Professional Counselling. I am located in British Columbia. As a member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, I have experience working with people of all ages who have experienced relationship issues, unhealthy family dynamics, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I specialize in couples therapy as well as anxiety and depression issues.
Navigating life can be difficult if we don’t have the proper support structures in place. No one therapeutic approach is more correct than another, they simply explain different aspects of our experience. I believe that collaboration and trust are essential to our working relationship – you are the expert on your life and I am here to facilitate change, progress, and awareness into the issues you are facing.
My style of counselling is a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centered therapy and family systems therapy. I believe in teaching you how to think, not what to think. With cognitive behaviour therapy, I can help you understand anxiety and how it affects you mentally and physically. I am deeply passionate about my work and hope that I get the opportunity to share what I’ve learned and to grow from my experience with you. Seeking a counsellor that is the right fit for you can be a challenging journey. I offer a free intro session where we get to know each other and find the best fit for you.
