My priority is creating a strong sense of safety and trust in the therapeutic relationship. You will be treated with respect and met with warmth, openness, sensitivity and understanding, and I encourage clients to move at their own pace. Your goals may include processing childhood trauma, sorting through problematic thoughts, coping with challenging emotions, developing coping skills for stress, anxiety, depression, or ADHD, and increasing resilience to manage the demands of life.
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor ( #15070) in British Columbia with seven years post-graduate experience working in clinical settings and 14 years in health and well-being. I have a Bachelor of Communication (Bond University, Australia), a Master of Counselling Psychology and Art Therapy (Adler University, Vancouver), and qualifications in yoga instruction and yoga therapy which inform my holistic approach to mental health and well-being.
I have specialised training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, and I also use Somatic Experiencing and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy approaches.
You are welcome to book a 15-minute complimentary consultation to discuss your goals, ask any questions you may have and see if working with me feels like a good fit.
I offer a reduced rate for students in a full-time university or college program.
I look forward to meeting you.
