Hi! I’m Wilsy. I am a therapist intern, who is dedicated on cultivating a therapeutic space where empathy, personal growth and healing intersect. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey of empowerment, where healing is not just about solving problems but discovering strengths and embracing personal growth. My goal is to create a space that is both compassionate and transformative, guiding clients toward lasting change in a way that honors their individuality.
I am a second-generation South Asian immigrant, with experiences that informs my therapeutic practice by providing a deep understanding of the cultural and familial influences that shape identity. Having grown up between different worlds myself, I recognize the value of celebrating our differences while discovering common ground. I aim to work collaboratively, to work towards uncovering and leveraging your strengths and create meaningful change together.
Central to my approach is a foundation of empathy, ensuring that I meet each client with understanding and without judgment. I primarily use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. My commitment is to work collaboratively with you to find the most effective strategies for your personal growth and healing.
I understand that taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone in this journey. I’m here to listen and guide you in a way that feels safe and empowering. I hope to make this step easier by offering a sliding scale to best meet your financial needs. If you’re ready to take that step, I invite you to reach out—let’s start the conversation.
