Hello! I’m Zarin (Zuh-reen) Hakim-Griffith (she/her).
Life can be difficult and we face many challenges and barriers along the way including physical and mental health concerns, financial needs, family conflict, abuse and violence, racial and various identity oppression, and stress/crisis related to life and role changes.
Sometimes it may feel like no matter what you do, things are out of your control and you feel hopeless, lost and unmotivated. It might to feel like you don’t matter or you’re not enough. While reaching out for therapy can seem intimidating, getting support for your needs should never be secondary. I want you to feel confident in who you are as an individual and feel proud of your various roles and identities. I want you to know that you are enough.
My background is in community mental health and crisis work and I have worked in the field for a number of years with those with severe and persistent mental health issues, addiction/substance use struggles and trauma.
As an intern with the Compassion project, I am in the unique position to offer low-cost and accessible counselling services while under the supervision of an experienced psychotherapist. We offer both video counselling and in-person counselling. Go online to our website and book a 20-minute free consultation!
