I worked at OCAD University for 18 years, teaching drawing courses and color psychology. In working with students, part of my job was to counsel students in various aspects of their lives, with learning disabilities, disability, and mental health being the focus. Four years ago I re-specialized and started a private psychotherapy practice, offering psychotherapy online and in-person sessions and psychoanalysis (only in-person). So far, I have helped among others, people struggling with Anxiety and Depression, Identity, BPD, and Mid-life crisis. My approach is emphasizing empathic listening and meaningful conversation. Together, we’ll explore external forces and internal conflicts. My areas of expertise include identity issues, early experiences, and dream analysis. I also incorporate cultural, spiritual, and political contexts, as well as cross-generational transmission. I offer individual therapy and couples therapy, but also adolescents and young adults are welcome, in person or online. The therapy can be twice a month, weekly, twice a week or more. I also offer psychoanalysis, which is four times a week. If any of this sounds good to you, give me a call or send email. I offer a complementary 15 minute cost-free session.
