I help racialized and biracial queer youth and adults who feel stuck, in-between and either or see the resilience within the connections between their racial, sexual, and self-identities.
Unlike many therapists focused on race, self or sexual identity only, I help youth and adults grow through their intersections.
My name is Mirlande. I’m a Queer Black Therapist. I use strengths-based, person-centered, brief solution-focused therapy. I have a Virtual Therapy Clinic called Resilient Roots Therapy.
As an adoptee raised in a small town with many people who didn’t look like me, it took me some time to understand the person I identify with today. If you’ve been continuously told a story about yourself, sometimes you start to believe it. Together, we can find your roots and build your resilience.
