Sometimes in our life we do not feel good enough. It is ok to feel unstable, and express all of your emotions, because we can always find ways to be good enough. Do you recognize that the decisions and responsibilities in your life feel daunting or burdensome? There are methods of mindfulness and awareness that can help guide us. Do certain emotions, thoughts, or experiences feel painful, confusing, or frustrating? There is an opportunity for us to explore more about managing the information our emotions and experiences may be trying to tell us.
You may want to find out more about your needs, how to better support yourself, how to better express yourself when communicating with others, how to better ask for help, or you want to find the path forward. Regardless of the reason, I am glad you found your way here. My approach to psychotherapy is to help you discover your own path of self-empowerment. To support you having your own needs met. What you value is intrinsic to you. What your mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual needs might be, may be greatly different from someone else. Feeling validated and accepting our needs, initially may not feel natural for everyone.
My therapeutic approaches are most rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I prefer to respond to the client specifically based upon their needs and wishes, which means adapting to provide the type of care that best resonates with you.
I care greatly about helping you navigate life’s ups and downs with a sense of support and connection. We may give up so much by doing what we were told was the right thing, that we deny our fundamental human rights and needs. Programming of what we are led to believe is a good family member, worker, partner, friend, or person, may be part of the reason you feel stuck. I consistently work towards creating a collaborative environment with you that includes respect, deep listening, unconditional empathetic connection, and growth, to help you discover your way forward.
