Throughout my life I have been exploring my emotional pains and how they live in me. Initially I pursued spiritual enlightenment by exploring an Eastern mind-body-spiritual exercise – qi-gong as well as meditation and Jing-guan – a mindfulness practice. Through “turning my awareness inward”, I gained insights into my life and how the emotional pains lived in me. Through mindfulness practice with a bodily somatic sensation lens and psychodynamic approach, I will accompany you, my client, to explore your pains and how they live in you. My approach will draw from my experience towards inner and self-awareness. It will combine wisdom from Eastern body-mind-spiritual traditions and practices from Western tradition of psychotherapy. I offer sessions in English as well as Mandarin. I am open to working with people from different racial and cultural backgrounds. I also specialize in working with the Asian community, new immigrants, and international students as you navigate through this new experience.
