I am currently a practicum therapist seeing clients under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from York University and I am currently enrolled in the practicum portion of the Master’s degree program in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Additionally, I am a student affiliate member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
My approach to therapy is person-centered. I draw on approaches from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-based therapy. We will identify an approach that best suits your individual needs and enables you to safely and effectively heal and grow. I am curious about you and working with me will allow you the space to become curious about yourself. Together, we will collaborate and explore the roots of your stress.
We can work on making better decisions, minimizing stress and anxiety, and strengthening relationships. I strive to help my clients recognize and utilize their own strengths.
