Do your thoughts tend to go straight to the negative and get stuck in this cycle? Are you finding your emotions so overwhelming that you do your best to avoid them? Perhaps you find yourself engaging in behaviours that you know are not healthy. When our emotions, thoughts and behaviours feel like they are out of our control, it can be a heavy burden to carry on your own. In therapy, I want to offer you a supportive space where we can identify the source of the problems you are experiencing and work towards healing. My goal is to help you develop the awareness, skills, and mindset that can help you gain back control of your life. I have completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I draw mainly from my training in Trauma-Informed, Strengths-Based, and Mindfulness-Based approaches, as well as Cognitive-Behavioural and Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy. With a background in Kinesiology and psychology, I tend to encourage a holistic approach that emphasizes healing both the mind and the body. My specialties are helping people deal with anxiety, depression, self-esteem and trauma. If you are interested in working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to get to know each other better and to see if we could make a good match. Please get in touch with me via email for more information.
