Hey! I’m Joanna, or Jo, for short; pronouns she/they. I value authenticity, mutual respect, and self-agency, so I work collaboratively with my clients. I hold space for all persons, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, religion, and intersectional identities, and I strive to do so in a compassionate, non-judgmental way.
I draw from my lived experiences as someone who is a co-parent, Filipino immigrant to Canada, queer, neurodivergent, and in trauma recovery. I believe that spirituality is completely personal, and I am deeply spiritual with a background in Christian Theology & leanings towards Buddhist Philosophy.
I offer support by utilizing various modalities such as person-centred therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, grief counselling, individual and couples therapy, and more. I appreciate that each person is unique and in charge of their own healing journey. It would be my honour to provide a safe space for your most authentic self.
