I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I hold a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle in Canada, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Royal University, and a certificate of Integrative Health Coaching from Mount Royal University. I have several years of experience working directly with teens, adults, and couples, especially in the areas of emotion regulation and communication. I have obtained a Level 2 DBT accreditation and Level 2 Gottman Couples Therapy accreditation.
I recognize firsthand the immense courage it can take to enter or re-enter therapy. With this in mind, I strive to create an environment free of judgement, full of compassion, and full of authenticity to make you most comfortable. And of course, at times, include a dash of humour.
Although I don’t believe there is a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, I will often use your personal values, strengths, and evidence-based interventions to guide you forward. More importantly, when using these evidence-based interventions, I aim to deliver them in a down-to-earth and digestible manner. Typically, I enjoy drawing upon interventions from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy when supporting individuals and couples.
In my free time, you may find me snuggling my 100-pound Golden Mountain dog named Bear, playing volleyball, skiing, singing off my Bluetooth karaoke microphone, aimlessly seeking a new spot in nature to explore, or pretending not to doze off on the couch while watching Netflix with my partner.
