About…

Hello, my name is Martina Gomes (she/her). I believe that everyone has distinctive gifts that help us to navigate the complexities and struggles of life. My approach to psychotherapy is to encourage personal development by providing feedback, warmth, collaboration, and an emotionally supportive space. I’m most experienced with solution-focused, acceptance commitment, and psychodynamic therapy, but my choice of modality will vary depending on your individual needs and wants and based on the most fruitful outcome of the psychotherapeutic relationship. I would love to help you overcome relational and personal obstacles, discover yourself, and strategize towards enriching your life.

Qualifications: 

I am a psychotherapist in training at the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling Education (TCPCE), pursuing a graduate-level program recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I also hold a Masters of Education in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto. I am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
