I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Life Sciences (Psychology stream), and a postgraduate certificate in Clinical Research. I am also certified in suicide prevention and have experience as a crisis responder.
I have been providing psychotherapy services for the past 3 years and use an integrative approach to therapy tailored to each client’s needs. This mainly includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness therapy.
I am passionate about helping people who are struggling in their everyday lives to recover and regain their mental health. To encourage personal growth and resilience, I intend to work collaboratively with clients to help them help themselves. This includes identifying unhelpful patterns of thinking and maladaptive behaviours, looking at the impact on feelings, identifying core beliefs, and using positive approaches that accentuates strengths and solutions. I strongly believe in making people feel safe and supported through empathy and compassion. I trust that this would facilitate in building authentic relationships with clients which would further allow me to work with them on their therapeutic journey.
If you need some guidance with working on your mental health, you can reach out to me and I promise I will try my best to help you.
