About…

I recognize that there are times in our lives which can lead to us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, confused, and sometimes hopeless. These times bring with them the additional challenge of reaching out and asking for support. It takes a lot of courage to begin pursuing your therapeutic journey and open up to someone to help you along this journey. As a client I can speak from personal experience, and say I understand and appreciate how this journey can look different for everyone. I would be honoured to support you through this process.

I will work collaboratively with you to explore any roots of emotional distress, and help you navigate through the life transitions, or challenges that have you feeling stuck. This therapeutic journey will be tailored to meeting your individual goals, as developing a personalized approach is paramount to success.

Currently, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO, and am in the midst of completing my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University. I received my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviours from McMaster University. I have also completed a Graduate Diploma in Brain Disorders Management at Mohawk College. I have experience working with and supporting individuals experiencing first episode psychosis, chronic pain, traumatic brain injuries (concussions), general life stressors, and interpersonal relationship challenges. I also have experience in various high performance athletic environments, I have 16 years of experience as a competitive equestrian, therefore I resonate with and understand the high performance anxiety. I have special interest in issues related to performance problems, confidence, anxiety, interpersonal problems with coaches and teammates, career development and athletic identity, while also have experience dealing with concussions, concussion recovery, and various injuries, as well as perfectionism and burnout.

I offer an integrative approach tailored to your needs in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory, safe environment. I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), person-centered techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions – where applicable.

You will be provided with a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental environment where exploration of current challenges, thoughts, feelings, and skill building is central to our work.
