Jasper Bryan

Hi! I’m Jasper. I’m a queer expressive arts therapist (qualifying) and community arts facilitator. I use my imagination to stir up creative things. I offer sliding scale expressive arts therapy for individuals, couples, polycules and groups.

Whether you’re an artist, want to incorporate more creativity into your life, or are scared of art and think you’re “bad” at it, expressive arts therapy can support you in living your best creative life.

In sessions, we might explore visual arts, writing, theatre, digital art, music, dance, singing, fashion, mindfulness, drag, or anything and everything that piques your curiosity. We might play together, or we might talk about whatever’s on your mind.

I draw from my own living experiences and education to support people in navigating mental health difficulties, relationship issues, living with and resisting oppression, identity, trauma, self-expression, life changes, existential and spiritual questions, coming out, grief, and other challenges. I use a strengths-based approach, meaning I don’t diagnose, or focus on what I think is ‘wrong’. We start from where you find joy and power: your life story, in your own words. You’re the expert.

I’m queer, bisexual, trans, kink and poly knowledgeable. I have living experience of sex work, ADHD, neurodivergence, and mental health challenges. I am a self-harm and suicide survivor, and use a harm reduction framework. I am a white settler, and strive to educate myself so that I can be more anti-oppressive, recognise when I perpetuate harm, and make repairs, in and out of the therapy space.

I offer online and in-person therapy in Canada and internationally. For more information, check out my websiteinstagram or email me. I hope to create, empower and play with you!

Ali Peddle

Hi, my name is Ali (She/her) and I am glad you’re here. I’m a student therapist finishing my MACP at Yorkville University under the supervision of Amy Mackenzie, CCC, RCT. I completed my undergraduate degree at St. Francis Xavier University in 2019 where I received a Bachelor of Arts Joint Major in Music & Psychology. I believe you are the expert of your own life and it’s my job to provide you with a safe non-judgmental space to share openly while I offer the support and guidance you need to overcome life’s challenges.

My background and love for music and the creative arts have helped in developing my own approach to therapy. My approach to psychotherapy is integrative. Depending on your unique needs I tend to draw from Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioural theories. However, given my love for the arts, I have a passion for Narrative Therapy.

The stories we tell ourselves impact how we live every day. I provide you with the space to tell your story, reframe old narratives, and empower you to embrace your most authentic self. I look forward to meeting with you to explore your unique strengths, goals, and learning how I can best help you on your journey!

I truly believe in the power of talk therapy to heal from our past and move into the future with the skills and knowledge to face new challenges as they arise. I believe our relationships are the foundation of life and that they require communication skills and self awareness.

We live in a complex and imperfect world, together we can explore ways to find healing, and create a sense of joy and peace in spite of the challenges we are faced with. I believe in creating a safe space based on respect for each individual’s inherent value as a human being.

I am able to provide counselling for individuals as well as couples, and specialize in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety and trauma.

I am LGBTQ+ affirming and have experience providing supportive treatment for those who have experienced religious/spiritual trauma.
