I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I hold a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle in Canada, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Royal University, and a certificate of Integrative Health Coaching from Mount Royal University. I have several years of experience working directly with teens, adults, and couples, especially in the areas of emotion regulation and communication. I have obtained a Level 2 DBT accreditation and Level 2 Gottman Couples Therapy accreditation.

I recognize firsthand the immense courage it can take to enter or re-enter therapy. With this in mind, I strive to create an environment free of judgement, full of compassion, and full of authenticity to make you most comfortable. And of course, at times, include a dash of humour.

Although I don’t believe there is a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, I will often use your personal values, strengths, and evidence-based interventions to guide you forward. More importantly, when using these evidence-based interventions, I aim to deliver them in a down-to-earth and digestible manner. Typically, I enjoy drawing upon interventions from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy when supporting individuals and couples.

In my free time, you may find me snuggling my 100-pound Golden Mountain dog named Bear, playing volleyball, skiing, singing off my Bluetooth karaoke microphone, aimlessly seeking a new spot in nature to explore, or pretending not to doze off on the couch while watching Netflix with my partner.

Are you struggling with your mental health? I am here to lift that cloud of struggles, shine a light through and help you find the brighter side. I specialize in symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, body image, traumatic experiences,  and stress. I also work with couples of any orientation, helping them to find the solutions that will enhance their relationship. I believe that everyone has tools within themselves to help alleviate their struggles, and I am passionate about helping you learn strategies to feel and live better. No challenge is too big or too small to start therapy and find improvement in.

My hope is that each session will help you feel more at ease, and more able to understand yourself. If you are ready to get started, book a free 15 minute consultation with me today! I have flexible fully online availability Monday- Friday 10am-8pm.

To me, therapy is a warm, comfortable space we build together; it’s an hour outside of your everyday life, a shared place we can process whatever needs to be processed from the safety of. Care, compassion, non-judgement and a genuine therapeutic relationship are the foundations of our work together and are my main priorities. My focus is always holistic: we have to look at every layer – from the cues your body and nervous system are giving you to the systemic messages surrounding you – to reach not just the bandaids but the deeper roots of distress and, ultimately, growth.

With a degree in Counselling and Spirituality, I am trained firstly as a client-centred therapist able to explore with you any general emotional and wellness goals you may need extra support for. I also specialize and have had training in: sex, intimacy, & relationship therapy; self esteem & self worth; intuitive food relationships & body positivity; grief, death, & loss; and spiritual/existential concerns. I work from an actively affirming and anti-oppressive lens.

Being a client-centred therapist means I value your intuitive voice. I tune into your unique worldview, values, and sources of meaning as the basis of our work, and adapt around your needs creatively and collaboratively. I believe my role as a therapist is to help you access your own internal compass and its signals. Sometimes we just need to give ourselves the space and permission to listen inward!

A virtual practice, working with anyone residing in Ontario.
