Are you feeling overwhelmed or hopeless? Do you feel stuck? Maybe you feel like you are running in circles, trapped in a maze, opening doors that lead you back to where you started. This can be exhausting – draining energy without making any perceived progress. Eventually even the thought of exploring the maze can make you feel tired, anxious, or overwhelmed. We were not meant to face these struggles alone and I would be honoured to join you in deeply exploring your experiences.

You know yourself better than anyone else. You are the expert, and my approach to therapy involves empowering you to recognize and build upon your existing resiliencies and strengths. I use Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a guide to help clients act according to their values, while finding compassion and peace with the aspects of life and self that cannot be fully controlled. I also employ Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT) to help you tap into your attachment needs, create new positive emotional experiences, and shift negative relational cycles.

My goal is to provide the space, guidance, and empathy required to process your experience in a style that is best suited to your present needs and experiences. I aim to provide you with a welcoming and judgment-free space to feel seen and heard, with a mission of increasing self-awareness.

Kelsey Santerre

I have a Master of Counselling Psychology (MCP) with a specialization in trauma care from Yorkville University, and a Master of Cognitive Psychology (MSC) in research from the University of Western Ontario. I am a registered psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have practiced mindfulness and yoga for over 10 years and taught for 6 years in the community. For an additional 6 years, I worked in a large-scale organization as a goals and leadership coach.

I weave together my research background in learning, memory, and language along with human body physiology, mindfulness, and body awareness in this human-to-human work of counselling and psychotherapy. As uniquely vast dimensional beings, there is no one way to approach mental health and wellness.

My aim is to provide space, guidance, and support in the areas of life you are seeking understanding, acceptance, and/or change. Counselling/Psychotherapy is a tool to help provide the space to process change in life and a place for your goals. The approach we will take together will depend on the change you are looking to make.
