As an educator for 15+ years with the Toronto District School Board, I have learned that at any age, life challenges not only impact well-being, but they disrupt our relationships and impede optimal functioning in all aspects of our lives.

As a caring and compassionate psychotherapist, I will sit with you and offer you a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we can get curious and explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and experiences openly and honestly. With new awareness and insight, my goal is to empower you to develop confidence, resilience, and effective coping strategies to lead a more fulfilling life. Whether it’s managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, dealing with stress and burnout, building healthier relationships, navigating identity issues or facing grief and loss, I am dedicated to providing counselling that is personalized for your unique needs and goals.

I believe that the healing journey is a collaborative one. My warm and empathetic approach to developing a therapeutic relationship with you is rooted in an understanding and appreciation of the complexities of human emotions and the intersectionalities of our identities. As such, I value and integrate a range of therapeutic modalities to support you in making meaning of your life stories. Through my personal mental health experiences, I have come to see how incorporating mindfulness and applying a culturally responsive lens to therapy has the power to make clients feel seen, heard and understood.

If my approach resonates with you, I invite you to connect with me on a complimentary 15-minute consultation. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you on your self-discovery and healing journey.

Let’s learn, heal and grow.

Life is inherently about connection, weaving a tapestry of relationships that shape our experiences and define our sense of self. These connections not only enrich our lives, but also provide us with a profound sense of belonging and purpose. On this path, filled with its unique challenges, we can often drift from who we truly are. This can leave us feeling lost, unfulfilled, or empty. If you’re experiencing these feelings, know that you are not alone. I too have navigated through periods of anxiety, loneliness, and dissatisfaction, and understand the deep yearning to be seen and heard authentically. As a dedicated counselor with a rich background that spans firefighting, and various other roles, I bring a unique blend of resilience, adaptability, and profound insight into my practice. My experiences have also underscored the invaluable role of supportive relationships in navigating and overcoming life’s challenges.

I have witnessed firsthand the resilience of the human spirit across a spectrum of challenges and have a profound belief in the power that each individual holds within. I believe true healing encompasses the entire person – mind, body, emotion, and spirit. This holistic philosophy shapes my approach, providing a collaborative, personalized, and integrative experience tailored to your unique needs.  My practice fosters a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment that encourages self-expression and personal growth. Here, you are free to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without reservation. Utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques, I am committed to working inclusively with people from all walks of life, ensuring our therapeutic space respects diverse identities and backgrounds.

Therapy is a powerful tool for transformation, and I respect and admire anyone who steps into this space. Together, we will address your challenges, untangle the beliefs that no longer serve you, discover your inherent strengths, and develop strategies to navigate life’s obstacles. My goal is for you to emerge from therapy not only renewed but also equipped with the insights and tools necessary to embrace life with vigor, clarity, and a sense of balance.

On the good days, you are unsure if you really need any help. You think it will pass. But on the difficult days, you find yourself here. You are tired and overwhelmed. Your mood is low, and your patience is short. Your relationships feel fragile, and your resilience is waning. You can ignore your struggle, and maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Or you can find yourself the support you deserve. You do not have to do this alone. I work with individuals experiencing increased anxiety, overwhelming stress, low mood, work burnout, negative body image, frustrating family dynamics or relationship issues.

Together we’ll assess what is most distressing to you, and develop a plan for how to move forward. I have extensive training and experience with using CBT for anxiety and mood problems. My sessions are structured, but the content is up to us. You bring your experience, and I bring mine.

I believe that therapy is about establishing an authentic relationship where you feel guided and supported as you unravel the sources of your fears and concerns. Your therapy plan is developed with you; there are no secrets about what we’re doing and why. Use the link below to book your free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
