Sashaun Clarke

Sashaun Clarke (Sasha) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) specializing in the treatment of individuals on the Autism Spectrum who also struggle with comorbid mental health concerns and various developmental disabilities. With a strong background in delivering Applied Behavioural Therapy (ABA) and providing consultative services, Sasha works closely with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as their caregivers. Her aim is to offer support, guidance, and effective strategies to help manage the unique challenges associated with caring for individuals with developmental and mental health disorders.

Sasha’s therapeutic approach encompasses crisis intervention, anxiety and depression management, self-esteem enhancement, coping with general life stressors, addressing academic issues, and assisting individuals struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation.

Presently, Sasha holds the designation of Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and is in the process of completing her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from Guelph-Humber, further augmenting her expertise in the field.

To provide comprehensive care, Sasha integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) into her treatment approach. EFT emphasizes understanding and regulating emotions, while CBT targets cognitive processes and behavioural patterns. By employing this integrative approach, Sasha equips her clients with practical tools and strategies to effectively manage their emotions, modify maladaptive behaviours, and cope with the various stressors of life.

Sasha offers the flexibility of both in-person sessions and telehealth services, utilizing phone and/or video platforms to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of her clients.
